Cognitive Scholastic Assessments

  • IEB Accommodation Assessments
    • The Independent Exam Board (IEB) requires a specific battery of cognitive and scholastic assessments to determine whether IEB-registered students meet the qualifying criteria for exam concessions.
  • Cognitive and Scholastic Strengths and Weaknesses Screening Assessments
    • To determine a learner’s cognitive and scholastic functioning and screen for possible learning difficulties. It can serve as a suitable starting point if a specialist has not previously assessed a child, and it can provide clear guidance on possible next steps and recommendations.

Please note: If your child attends a WCED-run school, exam accommodations for the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase (Grade 10-12) requires approval from the WCED and, therefore, requires a psycho-educational report and formal diagnosis from an Educational Psychologist.

Career Guidance

  • Subject Choice Assessment for Grade 9 Learners
    • For students entering Grade 10 who are unsure where their aptitudes and strengths lie and may need guidance regarding their Matric subject choices.
  • Career Guidance Assessments for School Leavers
    • For students in Grade 11 or 12 or recent matriculants who are unsure where their aptitudes and strengths lie and may need guidance regarding further study options and their career interests.
  • Career Guidance for Adults changing their Career Path or Varsity Students changing their Study Path
    • For young adults or adults who have already chosen a study or career path, but feel it is not the correct fit and would like guidance regarding alternative options.

Global Assessment

  • Comprehensive Cognitive, Scholastic, Behavioural and Emotional screening Assessment.
    • A longer assessment that includes a cognitive assessment, a more comprehensive scholastic assessment, behavioural screeners and EQ skills assessment. Also includes a longer, more comprehensive, and detailed report and recommendations compared to the shorter cognitive scholastic assessment.
